We had a calf born a few days ago that is severely knock kneed. His front legs go straight out about 30 degrees from the knees down and his hooves point almost completely sideways. He is a completely healthy calf and he sucks on his own. He does walk around but he cannot bend his front legs very well at all. When we examined his front legs they feel like they have tension on them while bending until they are bent to nearly a 90 degree angle where they then feel like they are bending normally. Is there anything we can do to help this calf with his legs. I have heard of using PVC pipes to help straighten the legs but am not too familiar with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a couple possibilities, but will refrane from commenting until you can get some pics on here of the calf. Do so ASAP and maybe you have something some of us can help you with! Pics of the front end from the side please!

Had the exact same thing. Our vet actually have the PVC braces on hand. I wrapped the legs first then duct taped the braces on the back side of legs. I kept them on for 6 days then took off to check them and would say he's 90% better to the point I'm not putting back on.
