Is it just me or are people crazy for paying more than retail price on semen that is readily available?  I have noticed the last few sales Lautner has had that people are doing it.  I could understand rare and sexed semen, but monopoly bringing more than the $40 he was selling at and I-80 bringing $35.  Are people just not smart businessman or did they need to overspend for tax purposes?

even if you asked the buyers i dont think you could get a straight answer for your question. you or i may never know why people do some of the things they do.

I think Monopoly's price has went back up, but I may be wrong.  Maybe w/ the recent high sellers out of both, the semen is harder to find or a wait.  And w/ this sale, you may be able to get it asap.

I know here a couple of weeks ago I saw a thread about BOJO and there was some controversy, anyhow the thread eluded to the fact that semen on BOJO would be hard to get so I can see his semen being higher. Makes you wonder if sometimes those rumors are started to benefit an auction or semen sales through retail suppliers. CONSPERICY!

One thing is for sure, as long as PPL keep paying a premium for semen lots that don't really have any reason for costing more, there will be online semen sales with semen on them to bid on. JMO.

Its strange for sure. At the Frozen Gold last year they were selling semen on 'The Maine Man' for $50 a straw I think,  for a bull that would be readily available at $25 a straw.

Lautner's are the marketing machine of the cattle business, good on them.
