Lautner Semen Sales
« on: July 16, 2013, 03:33:30 PM »
How come in all Lautners online semen sales this year they have offered Man Among Boys semen? Are they just trying to dump lots on the market,or do they have an interest in the bull?

Some way or another, lautners are supposed to have 2 mab clones next spring, so my guess its early advertisement and promo for them 2 clones. Not sure how they ended up with cloning rights on him but I guess that's not my business.  (thumbsup)

It's really not surprising that Lautners might have purchased the right to clone MAB, to me it's a smart business decision, especially if he keeps going like he currently is. Rodgers can sell the semen off the original MAB for a premium, and Lautners will still make money off of selling semen from the clones. And Rodgers and Lautner seem to work pretty well together. Lautners own a few walks alone sons, and most of Rodgers bulls are sired by Lautner bulls.
Just my 2 cents

I believe they bought the clones from Otto, the breeder of MAB.

What I meant was that to someone not super involved looking in there doesn't seem to be the same petty fights/arguments that seem to happen between Matt Lautner and Raymond Gonnet.
But like I said, I'm really not well informed, and it may not be near as civil in person as it seems on the Internet.

I'm curious, how many PPL look @ the picture and say to themselves, now that's going to be a great bull? What are PPL's thoughts on him? I should add that I do have some MAB semen in my tank so obviously I like the original bull.

When I look at this picture, I can't help but think back to the dwarf Herefords of the late 1960's.  Right down to the short nose.
