Has anyone used Leachman Explorer or have any daughters in production?  Came across some semen, just wanted to see if it is worth using.

One of the best Angus heifers that I ever tried to buy was an Explorer daughter years ago...she was ahead of the times.  Very moderate, soft-made, sound and great haired.  I'd think he might be worth a try.

Explorer made some great females and good bulls. The only thing I saw about him was he was not the best footed bull about

Explorer's dam was the best cow i have ever seen.  When she was 12 yrs she was producing an avg of 8 eggs a flush and was sound as a cat.  She was a meat wagon.  We had three full Sib's heifers to explorer and they were all sound and became good mom's.  If you got some in the tank use it don't let it go to waste.  Just don't recommend using it on heifers.

Thanks for all the good information.  I plan on using him on some of my PB Limousin cows this fall for more of an outcross Lim-Flex pedigree.  Not really worried about the BW, but probably need to watch the milk.
