My heifer has what I believe to lice, we got it last year by birds making a home above the pens. I poured on ivomec, but when I went out to feed this morning even a  bigger piece of hair had been rubbed off. Is there anything I could use to supplement ivomec?

Damage is done and what you did was catch it before it gets worse.  There will probably be some more hair come off.  Could start applying Shapley's MTG to the bald spots to help them regrow the hair faster.  Not much else you can do.

We have been using CLEAN -UP AND think it is working ,generic  ivomectins are responsible for all the problems....  Weak and not much protection for lice ,have trouble every year in early Jan.    Show cattle some people rinse with REPEL X and have for years ....

Find a product that is specific for Lice. If its not on the label, its not covered! We've had good luck with cyclence and clean-up. The key is to keep them poured  and be on the look out for unusual/extra rubbing. Good Luck!

Cook some bacon and rub bacon grease on it everyday! used to do this to horses when they got rain rot. have put it on show heifers that got it the week before a show and atleast had some hair in it. first week everyday. second week every other day! in 2-3 weeks she will have good hair in it again
