Thanks for calling my attention to the catalog download, should be getting that fixed this morning.

TG, thanks for the comments on 1233. I go back and forth between him and Lot 1, but like them both for a lot of reasons. 1233's mother (5305) is a cow that never drops below a BCS of 7 and milks extremely well, with an average index for weaning and yearling of 108.  We don't flush many cows, but 5305 made it to that pen easily.

Lot 1 should be in a major AI Stud, as a feature bull, not an added attractions deal or custom collections, either. He has the most true "breed character" head, and not a white hair on him.

They all look good. Lot 26......maybe the darkhorse of the bunch. That bull that Keith bought last year was awsome phenotypically.

Glad to see the 23G daughters are still producing for you.  Just wish I had a pasture field full of them now.

Someone should tell us why the cake was left out in the rain.

Really nice group. I like Lot 2, eye appeal, good birth wt. and YW. Like the heifers, especially 40,42,43 & 46.
The Lot 25 bull has some good performance.

I just got the catalog in the mail. I couldn't tell pedigrees from my phone. I just went on the pictures in the ad in shorthorn country. To me, the 4508 on the double duty line really clicks. I appreciate lot one for having 3/4 of ash valley breeding in the pedigree.

My picks are in order I would pick em. Lots 2, 27, 13, 26, 29, 21, 32
Heifers. Lots 46, 48, 43, 42

Lots of good cattle.

TG-Thanks for the comments, I appreciate you taking a look.  I thought I would clarify, because I have had a few questions and you had brought it up.  Lots 1 and 2 up close in there pedigree are all our breeding.  The SL and ML are myself and my brother, Matt's breeding.  The Emma's were the start for me personally in 1987 and the Okie's are by Matt's foundation female from 1992, we just have never dropped the prefix.  We felt like lot 1 and 2 should carry the Ash Valley as well.

For those that had a chance to attend please post results when you get a chance. Excellent offering of real world genetics. Especially interested in what lot 1 and 2 brought. Also, what was your favorite lot in person.

I was not at the sale but bid on several heifers on the phone and they told me the fall born bulls averaged around $4500.  Sorry I can't be of more specific help.
