Al Dirksen has a couple of nice heifers in the sale that would be worth checking out if anbody is interested.

Also, while you are in the area, Scott Hillman, Dunbar, Nebraska, has 5 percentage heifers priced cheap & he might be able to deliver... possibly for gas $$.   All priced under $900.  Two of them might be sold already.  One is a red roan 1/4 Lowline X 3/4 Shorthorn (Gizmo dam).  4 are halfbloods.  2 are broke & have already been shown successfully.  Perfect for the 1st time show person.  Sired by a blue roan full brother to Bruzer, the 2008 National Champion Bull.  Dam's are mostly Rocking J genetics, with some Shorthorn & Simmi too.  Scott raised a heifer last year that was 2nd in class to the NAILE Supreme Champion, so he has some pretty good stuff.  He also beat the National Champion Female at a Show a few years ago.  He also has a purebred heifer sired by Fairlawn's Rebel out of a dam that was 3rd overall JR Owned Exhibit at the 09 NAILE for under $900.  BTW, Scott raised the dam of that lot 24 bull that somebody was touting in another thread... & he also used to own the sire of lot 24 too.  Give Scott a call at... 402-690-0746 for a real good deal on some good genetics in the Midwest!  You will be hard pressed to find a better deal on some good cattle.

Some strong pedigrees there. I know Linda from Colombo Park quite well and has some good cattle. Also I note Monte Allergo back in some pedigrees they had IMO some of the best Lowlines in the country dominating shows around the country until they retired from showing.

Attached is Scott's blue 1/2 blood bull and the sire of most of the heifers mentioned above.  Can't remember what caused the knot on his jaw, but he's a pretty good bull, IMHO.  Full brother to the 2008 National Champ and out of a 3/4 Shorthorn X 1/4 Maine Dam.  I'm telling you, you just can't go wrong buying this bulls  daughters for under $900!!!!  And these are indeed extremely nice people!!
