I have had 5 Maine Man calves. 91, 94, and 95 birth weights and a set of twins 60 & 65. From my experience you would really want to make sure the cows you breed him to are deep, soggy cows that are high in their tail head. He will not add depth of body in my limited experience and he throws a rounder hip and tighter muscle pattern. If you match him up right you can get some nice calves. Use him on the wrong type of cow and you'll be disappointed.

We had 3 Maine Man calves the first year he came out.  They were really long bodied, really thick, good fronted, good haired, but they were really tight gutted and round rumped.  All 3 of those cows have had I80 (maternal brother) calves since and they were way better.

And its a shame to hear this, Because there is not a Better Pictured bull out there. Unfortuantely, He turned out to be the Jamarcus Russell of the show world
