What is your market show minimum weight to be able to sell?  Our local fair is 1000 lbs. and it seems to be on the lighter end.  My daughter had an extremely short, small framed heifer this year and it weighed in at 1200 lbs.  We did have a steer weigh in at 1068 lbs a couple years ago that did grade choice however.

What are your thoughts on raising the minimum weight to 1100 lbs??

Ours is 1000 lbs also. I always question why is is this low, but there are always some Herefords that weigh in (finished) at 1100 lbs. Champion is alway 1310 to 1340. Our biggest dairy steers top 1750..

We just moved ours up to 1100 a couple of years ago it was a 1000 lbs previous. It always seemed like there was a couple steers that would be brought and should get white ribbons, but we never like to give a white ribbon.
This has eliminated this problem.

ours is 1000 sometimes there are some around 1050.  I know at one of the other fairs we show at someone had a belted Galloway a few years ago that did not make weight at that but was finished so I guess it depends on what the kids have
