Moving back close to home and we are looking at taking on quite a few heifer calves to develop and A.I. for their owner who wishes to put on a large bred heifer sale annualy.  The problem comes when looking on how to get rid of a few cows.  We have leaned down already in the past few years so quality is very high.  This made me think the hoodoo charolais bloodlines we have crossed with a long list of red angus bulls should be somewhat marketable in some circles.  The problem being my hunch is those cirlces would be farther south and for a different calving time (we calve in May/June). For the club calf market would anyone have opinions on how to sell some of these cows? We would have 200 to look through, 250 total but the rest are registered red angus. We also have 50 coming yearling heifers.  These are all char/red angus cross cattle. I was thinking of taking my pick for making steers and breeding them all clubby for fall calves and selling them online or pt.  But it did occur to me that since these cattle haven't even calved it would be neat to sell choice of these cows and mate them to the bulls of their choice for whatever calving season would work best for the buyer.  If you were in this position how would you go about this?
