Steel Wheels and Stock Broker
« on: April 28, 2015, 10:00:08 AM »
I am looking for some info on the bulls Steel Wheels and Stock Broker.  I realize Stock Broker is pretty new but looking to see what they work on.  I like the Simmental genetics in them but I know stock Broker also has 50% Maine.  We have an Ali cow that I would maybe like to try the Stock Broker bull.  We have problems getting her AI bred but she has always had beautiful bull bred calves that are very clean up front.  I would like to keep that but maybe add a little more muscle and bone and add some hip height as mother is not that tall.  She is adequate but could have a little more height.  I like the looks of Steel Wheels and have a couple cows I would like to try him on. The one is a Star Power x Heatseeker.  This would still create a foundation Simmi which I like.  The other cow is a SOS (Simmi 3/4 blood).  I would like to get a little more style out of her.  She has a little leather upfront.  She has some of the typical Simmi genetics.  She definitely has an adequate amount of muscle and probably enough bone she just appears kind of dull.  I would like to add a little style.  Would these bulls work.  To be honest it scars me they are being marketed by Matt Lautner.  Nothing against him as we breed some club calves and we have a rep coming out I just would like to keep these cows simmi but like the looks of these bulls.

I have heard that stock broker looks really good from someone I trust who saw him at stud. I don't know anything about steel wheels.  Don't be afraid of Matt :)

Another bull I really like that I saw at Nichols is special blend.  Broker x Hairietta. He looked really good.  Bellar cattle own him. They are in Nebraska.
Good luck.
