Mercedes Benz Daughters

Does anyone have any Mercedes Benz daughters in production now. What kinda calves are they producing and what cows do they click with?

I have one due in a couple of weeks with a I80 calf.  Bushy Park should have a few in production I would think.  I can tell you that the genetics are very good, and the calving ease on his side is pretty well established.  For high and % Maine cows I would feel extremely confident with MB.

Savaged- isn't I-80 on a Benz cow very close breeding? Both are by Ali I believe

Burke's sold a good bull in Denver that was a I-80 x Mercedes Benz. They also go back to the same foundation cow and she is super-duper bred, IMO. The Tykia Fullblood was one of my favorite bulls ever, and Derouchey knew how to exploit him. These matings won't have the heterosis but will have great Maine genes that are uniquely lined up. The offsprings should work on some outcross pedigrees.

Yes, and I pondered that as well.  I purchased her from Bushy Park's fall female sale, and I was comfortable with the mating after discussing with a couple of trusted folks on her.    I'll post pics if I get two heads

I think you made a good choice. Like I said, there will not be the heterosis but the genetics will be of good value. You are lining up some really great genetics especially back to those base cow families (Tykia x Angus) on the top and bottom and that is what separates the great ones from the good ones.

Derouchey deserves some credit with his vision of starting from the beginning by using some of the best modern Fullbloods available on Angus cows. It sometimes takes a decade to realize how important those genetics can be. Even the Dr. Who bull has proven to be useful and maybe more important then his sire WMW.
