We were very blessed this weekend with a $31,000 record setting bid on my daughters Grand Champion steer.  She has worked very hard over the years, seven to be exact, to get to this point and everyone is so proud of her. She also continued her undefeated run of sevens years winning steer and heifer showmanship.  Cannot put into words how proud I am of her.  Thanks to Bobby and Mandi Maddox for finding her this steer at Bonham Show Cattle.  Yes, we are a slick show, so no big hairy steer pictures. :)

Congratulations from someone that knows how hard you've worked for a long time.  And from someone that is jealous of those county show prices!  Now, go find you one that you can get that girl in the dome with next year (although I guess it isn't really the dome anymore).

See you next week.

congrats!

I can't comment enough on how much more I prefer these slick shows.  Set all the bs aside - what you see is what you get.  Evaluating an animal solely on its own merit- what a concept!

I'm sure I could go on about it, if you'd like?
