There aren't any Jr. Nationals yet, but I THINK this will be the first national show with a Jr. show in it for the Lowlines.

AJ & RED - Thanks!

Red - We will likely move in on the afternoon of 18th.  I'm only 2.5 hours west, but I may go up early anyway.  Would be great if I could meet you!

RED & OFS - We do have a big JR Show in Denver (NWSS) at our National Show, but besides that one, OFS is correct.  We do have several Regional JR Shows for JR's.  I'm not positive, but we may have a JR show at the Iowa State Fair too, but not sure.

I also want to point out that besides breeding cattle & JR Showmanship, we will also be having a Lowline Steer Show @ the NAILE.  All entries must be at least 1/2 Lowline & registered with the ALR.  That may not be so big the 1st year, since it will be the 1st of it's kind, but I think that after we have a few shows, I think it has the potential to get pretty big.

BTW, a JR ELAA membership only costs $5 & it can be paid at the show, along with the Showmanship entry fee ($15).  So, any JR can show in Lowline Showmanship WITHOUT owning a Lowline calf (we will do our best to find them a Lowline calf to borrow!!).

OFS... We might have a pretty good Grand & Res. prize for JR Showmanship too!!  I'll put it this way, we are going to make it pretty tempting for JR's to sign up.  ;)

We've got a meeting coming up June 21, for the eastern breeders.  Hopefully, the membership will want to host several JR Shows & Lowline Steer Shows in the eastern US within the next year.  I can't see why they wouldn't, especially since we have plenty of interested youth to have some decent shows.  Will keep everyone posted...

Thanks again!!
