Here's one I've been looking for and finally found. This get of sire weighed in at over 10,000 pounds. Name the sire, and the four bulls pictured. Bonus points for the weights of each.

DL, your new bull  wouldn't happen to have only one full sister?

Yes Telos - I full sister and the group of them were the first Maine-ANjou embryos implanted in North America - if I recall the story right there were 10 recips ready - the cow had 20 grade 1 embryos (this was before freezing) 10 were implanted, 8 stuck, one was a heifer and all the rest bulls - one bull died as a baby.....I suspect you know who he is!! ;D ;D

I don't know wich one exactly. Maybe Farm Boy or one of the other pedigree wizards can take a stab at him. This will be a true test for Farm Boy.

Farm Boy, Ivac... that is one bull you don't see in everyday Maine- Anjou pedigrees. You now have plenty of hints on DL's bull.  Get after it.  ;D

OK stick - we need a hint - unless these guys are midgets these are mighty big bulls! 2500 plus apiece!

Farmboy - Ivac is a medical device - pressure is on now - we are counting on you......

Sorry, my mistake. Farm Boy wrote Itvac and not Ivac. Sometimes my frontal cortex doesn't get connected to the spelling part of my brain and spell check doesn't work on most of these French Maine-Anjou names.  ???

1986, probably needed a step ladder to do the tops. Sire was an appendix bull, raised by Grahams in Minnesota. Controversial bull at the time. Some loved him, others hated him.

Farm Boy, I know you're biting at the bit for a hint by now. The prefix on DL's bull might be associated with conifers. At least one full brother did not have this prefix.

ah, farmboy, you thought you were being clever - saw the 84 and figured it was his reg # (MB84) but alas young man, it is his within herd number .....the first Maine embryos were done in Canada ....western Canada

Here is one more hint. Think of a place where pine cones might come from. DL's bull has a three letter perfix.  ::)

Darn nice bull, Farm Boy, but I'm trying to give you some good clues on DL's bull first. So we'll get back to your bull after you get DL's.

O.K., one more hint.  If you're into different tunes...Moonstarr might help you out.
