Other than aj's wildcats the north beat up the south yesterday in the big 12.  Could we have a bcs championship game of mizzou vs michigan state.

If my Spartans can get past Iowa next week, I think they have a good chance to run the table this year. Last couple of years they seemed to find a way to lose games even when they played pretty good. This year they seem to find a way to win games even when they don't play as well as they can. To me, that is a sign of a great team.

Hehe, I know it was the lower end teams, both conferences have a bottom half.  A&M and Tech are both firmly in that for the south.

The fact that 3-3 is now 'beating up' on the south is a pretty good symptom of what killed the conference.

If killing the conference refers to nu and cu leaving theres alot more there to debate.  What i hear if some of our little friends up here, ku, ksu, isu, would have voted with nebraska on certain things within the big 12, nebraska may have never left.  A championship game in texas for god knows how many years in the future had alot to do with it.  An extra 10 million a year to university of nebraska for going to the big 10 may have had something too.  heh heh.  But maybe your killing the conference pharase refers to the big 12 beating everyone up this year.  Missouri beats nebraska, they have a cakewalk to the big 12 championship, but may stumble there..

I'm referring to how it turned into an extremely unbalanced conference which lead to many of the problems you referred to.  To think back to the beginning of the Big XII and how dominant the north was with Nebraska on their role, Colorado coming off a NC, Kansas State at their peak, etc. it's amazing to think that a 3-3 split is now something for the north to be proud of.

Just so I'm clear, it's a symptom, not the reason.

What exactly makes you think I'm feeling bad?  I'm an Aggie who has given up on Jerrod Johnson.  As far as I'm concerned, other than Colorado beating Tech, yesterday couldn't have gone much better (I have a sweet spot for Baylor for some reason).

I understand the idea of being happy with what you can get, I'm just pointing out that you started a thread about how the 'north beat up on the south' on a day when the two divisions split their games.
