Here is two of our recent buys. Tell me what you think of them and what you think we should breed them to for their second calf. The first is Alyssa 71 . She is a Irish Whiskey X 71(Heat Wave X Maine XAngus). The second is DSUL Red Tank 116. She is a Heat Wave X DSUL Sheza Tank 116(Meyer 734 X Tank 16B). We are wanting to  get steers for the Texas majors.

They both have alot of muscle  and are first calvers? I like to see straight british back on heavy composite females?  Like a ohlde black deal? does this help?

Nice heifers.

I had thought about Troubador. I hadn't thought about what you said Sue, but the more I think of it that might be pretty kool. and might get some good females!

For the black heifer I would look for a soft sided wide skeletoned bull that is real sound she looks like she will make u a fancy thick one but I would want to put a little volume in her (in my opinion) but I really do not know what bull ... I do like the troubadour idea. For the red I think u should try and get a calf that would class red angus. Look at the red angus bull called rob Roy. He is a stud, bw should still be moderate, if it came out a heifer she should be real maternal and I think she could make killer steer for that red angus deal. Again jmo
