Ok so I have a few heifers that I'm thinking about having them bred to these bulls. These heifers need more hair, power, and better hind quarters to produce the calves we're looking for. These are all new bulls for 2013 except Drill Bit. I was wondering which you guys thought was best..
Drill Bit is a Jigsaw son. Recourse is a Monopoly son. Ridin' High is a Bojo son. Lain Train is a Monopoly son. Fast and Furious is a Monopoly son. And Check Mate is a Monopoly son.
Any ideas?

Honestly I would stay away from these bulls. None of them have a low birth weight pedigree. We typically breed all our heifers angus the first time around for the sake of getting a live healthy calf out of heifers. Occ legend, northern improvement. And Ali is a good choice too (Maine)

Rocky Balboa is not calving ease. Midnight Heat is a new bull that I doubt will be calving ease.

For the 1st calf you will be miles ahead breeding them to a calving ease Angus bull.

Depending on his females pedigrees I wouldn't be scared with rocky balboa. Know lots of people that use him year after year. But if they are clubby bred they need angus.

I wouldnt use a new bull for a calving ease sire till they are proven. looks like Jesse James has been working well for people.

Everyone keeps saying Rocky Balboa and Ali's Solution are calving ease knockouts. Jesse James is a good bull i will keep him on my list....These are not club calf hefiers just crossbreds that were shown at just the local county fair..

Power and breeding heifers usually are not a good combination. There are lot of good heifer bulls out there now that can be steps in the right direction.

I agree with an Angus calving the first time around.  We have also had good luck with Smokin'Joe, an Ali son.  One thing about him is he has a small head to help get the birthing started off right.

I have an I-80 son and bred a few clubby heifers to him and I havn't had to touch one yet.  These had some heatwave shortorn in them and I have had a few 45lb calves and cant be happier!  They were 90 to 100 when they were born out of their dams.
