New cow

Bought a DCC New Look x Aunt B cow she's bred to high regard any thoughts on Sim Bulls to use on her this year. Prefer no Dream On

Show heifer or steer I would go Chopper.  We have one this year and I love, love, love this calf. 

For maternal or baby maker, I say Grandmaster.

Chopper is a Dream On, Bandwagon goes back to Dream On. I have seen some nice calves out of W/C Wide Track, also think Macho might work. I was a contending bidder on that cow and would have used Macho or the Maine bull GVC Suh. I have a Suh x Aunt B cow that has done a great job in just 2 calf crops with hopefully should be her best to date coming in the spring. good luck, great buy!!

I appreciate the info. Does anyone know what the high regard calves look like. I am pretty amped about the calf to come. She may get bred right back to him. If her calf is good enough she is going to get flushed. I have never used goldmine, in dew time, or 600u but I love my upgrade calves. The United bull looks really good.

A new bull that is on my radar is Optimizer, carried by Select Sire.

His EPD profile is decent. He does have dream on in his pedigree, but it is back a few generations. And, he is a 3/4 blood, which I like.

Thanks for the advice. I am going to take a hard look at Macho, and 3C Sturdy. That Optimizer bull looks good also.

Nice Bull!! Wide track will definetly move up on the potentials list.

If she has plenty of body depth, I would breed her to Fortune 500.  He is an older Sim bull so you don't have to worry about any Dream On in the pedigree.  He makes some beautiful, functional females.  Semen should be fairly inexpensive and easy to find.
