He is a first part of march bull calf. Just wanted to share the pic.

Updated: pulled him from mom last Wednesday. Demeanor is great. By Friday my daughter had walked him washed him dried him and we gave him a rough clip job. Not standing exactly right for good pics kind of has his back feet under him but best I could get with my phone.

Last pics I posted were from first of September. He got first place in his class at state fair. That being said it was a very small class and not that great of competition anyway. So take that for what it is. He's now 1050+ lbs. also now he's in the barn during the day and out at night. Could being out of the sun be the reason his coat is getting darker? I guess if humans hair lightens in summer cattle would too.

He is out of a Grassy Run cow sired by Star Moneymaker. We are thinking about keeping him a bull to breed with. He isn't related to anything else we have. My daughter would like to show him at state fair possibly. The cow in the back is his mom.

Thought I would add a pic of one of our heifers. She's about 6-7 weeks old in the picture. I think my daughter is going to show her at some jack pot shows in our area.

The thought never crossed my mind to post pics of the cow. She's a nice cow a little narrow right off the back end. I think that is more because of her overall build it makes her butt look smaller than it might be. Once I get some pics of her I will be glad to post them. Thanks for the compliments though. Xbar talk about small world. I see your from pottsborro. Our cows are not far from you. They're in Gunter.

Just pulled the bull calf from his mother. I was pretty pleased. He weighed 725 @ 181 days. Not a chart topper but solid I thought. Hope to get a few updated pics shortly.

In my experience sometimes herfs will darken up as they get older and lose the calf fuzz. I know my calves right now are darker than when they were weaned. He looks nice and is doing very well for you
