one thing we like to do is thank you gifts. We make baskets or whatever for whoever buys our animals and right after we sell we take the gift to whoever bought our animals. basket ideas (movie, aplecider cheese and crackers, a chair blanket plastic/metal water bottle, etc) be creative but remember your buyer could be a man, woman, a combo of both, a family, or a business. This lets the buyers know how much you appreciate them. And you get to meet the buyers and talk with them and thank them in person. We also do the signs.

Who needs a shrink when you have SP. I dont like to talk about this but i also have CLD (cattle leaving disorder) i think about where they are going, are they gonna take good care of them, no one like to see there babies go but its a part of the business, dont worry one day they will find a treatment for those afflicted with the CLD

Well he is gone now, but he did wonderful at the fair and I am so glad that he was my first show cow(steer).I couldn't have had a better animal to work with and he had the best life a show steer could have.  I cried like a big baby Thursday night, but I have realized that is how it had to be. I will miss him greatly, but in a couple months the new ones will be weaned and I will meet my next animal. I think I will have a heifer next year, so that will help some. I may even get to show a heifer that comes from the same bloodline that he did. I wanted to thank everyone for their help and support.
R.I.P Red, my baby, my number one, my BA  Shorthorn show steer. I love ya!
