We used Saskvalley Yesterday 116Y on some yearling heifers as a yearling the year before we sold him.  We are very happy with the results.  His calves were born easily and were very lively at birth.  They are very thick and deep calves.  We will most likely have some sons in the bull sale next year (there are about 5 of his sons in the yearling pen right now).
Here is a picture of one of the bulls that we used on yearling heifers last year.  He is in this year's bull sale.

Looks good. I was thinking of using him on a few heifers this year, but Carl, maybe you can answer a question for me: he is listed in the semex catalogue as frame 4.5 and on a flyer I received last Fall he was listed as frame 5.5... which is he? thanks.

I believe he was a 4.5 frame when we measured him for our sale last year but that is a pretty primitive measurement. I also think that frame scores can change as the animals age changes. He did breed very well for us and we have a maternal brother in our sale this year sired by Ramrod that looks as good or better so I don't think he is a fluke.
