opinions on Calberta Hustler steer

He really needs some more flank and belly.  Maybe try free choice grass hay or beet pulp or something to fill him up more.

I Agree with GoWyo. If you get that extra flank/belly then you would have yourself a fairly complete steer from the looks of this pic. I really think this steer will make an excellent fat steer.

I forgot to mention, which i'm sure you know; hair can hide a lot of defects. Hair could really add a lot to this guy. Good Luck!

well this pic is pretty far away and I have a hard time judging how much base width he has, but I will say that he looks really fancy and has some good lines on the profile...but I think he needs more depth and dimension from end to end...to me he appears to be a really growthy/leggy steer who just gets really tubular in the middle...if you could drop him chest foor to flank and blow that rib shape outward he would be really nice from the side
