Had our first Make It Rain calf Saturday night. Got to say, he got up and nursed probably the fastest of any calf we have ever had! Seems to be big boned and thick, but time will tell. I was disappointed he did not have any white. The dam is a Macho half blood, with a shot of draft pick and angus in her. She produces a good calf every year for us. Her bull calf from last year I posted on here several times, a Mo Better bull calf that Jim Faulkner bought (after he won a bunch!). He was 84 pounds, and she had no problems having him on her own. Always happy for a live, vivacious calf!

Glad to hear that you had good luck with our bull! Please let us know how the calf develops, he is starting off right though. Make It Rain has done great things for us, and we've never had a problem breeding him to heifers of ours. Thanks for using him.

good stout calf! I used MIR quite extensively this year ( after many years of cliff, seth, and ralph telling me i should), i am very excited to get some of these calves on the ground.. i used him on a variety of cows and heifers including a heatwave X simmental donor .

i saw the hefier that won the illinois state fair, HOLY COW, may be one the nicest heifers i have ever seen. I just hope they grow enough to get some size on them

there is a new video of MIR on kaehler's website and he looks good! so i am excited for the calves i got coming this spring and after seeing the bone and stoutness of firesweep's calf get me more excited... hope they are all heifer calves!!

Congrats on a nice calf! Yeah, I know how it feels to be expecting a bit of chrome on a particular mating and you show up and it's a solid, but I've had it the other way as well. So now I try my best to be patient and to be ok with whatever the newborn is and looks like, as long as it is nice and healthy then that's all I need.
