Pasture mixes/hay mixes

What's everyone's favorite of the 2 for beef cows and calves. Do you broadcast seed it or no till? Climate would be like New York, michagan and ontario thanks

Rye grass is good for pasture and hay can broadcast seed but no till works best

Not familiar with your area. There's is an excellent book "kicking the habit" that describes different grazing blends and methods that makes a lot of sense. In my own experience the most under rated grazing is cicers milk vetch. The cows do incredible grazing on it and it can be hayed as well. It's a lot like alfalfa but without the risk of bloat.
