Pic in snow HELP

I am trying to take pics for expo and I am getting a ton of glare please help
I am using a canon RebelXTi

My photography skills are strictly amateur but my best luck has been waiting until the sun is lower in the sky, such as in the later afternoon when there is "softer" light and get the sun to your back when you are shooting your photos.

The other obviosu one would be to wait for an overcast time.

Make sure your flash is off and perhaps try some different exposure settings?

I think early morning or late afternoon, but I could be wrong.

  I try to make sure the sun is at my back.

P-F, It might be a combo of things happening. First, you have a lot of contrast with a black bull and the snow and sunny sky. Second, would be the correct lighting. Make sure the sun is lower in the sky (early morning or later afternoon).Sun needs to be behind you.

By the way. Really like that type of bull.

the other problem you have is the background with the barn corner fooling your light meter.  you can probably force your light meter to take a reading somewhere other than where you have maximum contrast, ie the bull and the snow.  it's called bracketing.  that said, move him or you so the background is uninterrupted.

Thanks for the suggestions I think I am going to have hubby move some bales around and use that for the background!  I had the sun to my back but it is so bright out even when it is overcast.  I am going to try again this evening.
