Just curious if anyone has had anything out of him? We usually breed Angus but last year we bought a really good Angus cow that was bred to him and should be calving within the week. We are really excited about this mating. I would love to hear if anyone has used him and what they think of his offspring? He is a nice looking bull out of Heat Seeker. Thanks  <beer>

Had a 74 lb bull calf out of an PB registered  Angus cow (Ironwood New Level x Lucy's Boy) Came 2 days early up fast and very correct calf. Not the thickest one I have ever seen but very nice hair and jet black. Will make a great steer. Would use again on an angus cow. Good luck

I had one that was a Damn Tank. We sent her to the stock sale today because in two years she never cycled. The vet checke d her and said she was a genetic freak. No ovaries. But from a show heifer stand point she was awesome. We were planning on flushing her. Not going to lie I put all my eggs in that heifer and got teary-eyed when the vet told ,e

Tim Schaffer bred his heat wave donor " spooke " to point taken and had two really nice steers out of him that were in his pasture sale a few years back

sounds like a freemartin.. not a 'genetic freak'.  I'd bet at some point or another- she had a twin brother...

unless you were there when she was born-- who's to say there wasn't another calf out somewhere that got lost and never found..

if you don't buy that-- then argue with this:  I'll bet that cow conceived twins, and sometime after the fertilization process- she absorbed one of them- which resulted in only one calf being born-- but with a messed up repro tract.

I noticed on the Chi. Assoc. website that he is restricted from registrations because they don`t have Dna. on him. I hope they get that straightened out soon because I would use him again but not if the calves can`t be registered. We had a really nice heifer out of him 2 years ago. He will throw a red one every now and then though.

With heat Seeker being his father, that would be the shorthorn in him I would assume. Point Taken is a 25% Shorthorn.

This is a Point Taken x Simangus steer we showed last year that was Grand at our county fair, reserve at the Mid Southern Steer Classic, and was never beaten in class as a prospect.  He was easy feeding, super sound, and great haired, even in the summer with no cooler.  I wouldn't hesitate to feed another PT and have seen several other nice ones sired by him.

The first option was a definite no because we pulled her. the second one could be very possible. who knows, all I know is shes no good
