The two we have are really thick. He throws some color and hair is good, not great. I really like them though. It looks like you should use him on refined and feminine cows.

I "heard" today that one well known ranch say that the Point Taken calves were the thickest ever at their ranch. But, they were pulling or c sectioning many of them. any comments?
We had 11 in 09. Births wieghts from 75 to 110(unassisted). We only helped one because of bad weather, easy pull. We will be using him again on good fronted cows. Some of ours were a little shorted necked. Will be breeding a couple heifers we kept from him soon.
Agree completely with nck and frostbacks' assessments they are really chunky definitely not leggy,infact some I've seen might be vertically challenged. Hair is OK not great. But all that said we might have the best steer as a baby we have ever had, out of him.

I had 4 this year and I think he can really work. Calves are stout stout stout, all plenty sound enough, But the one thing I need to have changed to use him more is the hair, they are just hairless. I think the really pretty made hairy cows are definitely the ones for him.
