I am interested if anyone has experience using anti serums or specifically "Poly Serum" by Novartis? How well does it work and have you seen it clear up issues that calves have after they are born in harsh environments? Thanks for any info you can provide.Here is the label info:
For use as an aid in the prevention and treatment of enteric and respiratory conditions in cattle and sheep caused by Actinomyces pyogenes, E. coli, Pasteurella haemolytica and multocida and Salmonella typhimurium. Administer IM or subcut. Prevention: Calves - 20-40 ml as soon after birth as possible; Cattle - 50-75 ml; Sheep - 10-15 ml. Treatment: Calves - 40-150 ml as soon after birth as possible; Cattle - 75-100 ml; Sheep - 20-40 ml. Recommended treatment dose is to be administered at 12-24 hr intervals until improvement is noted.
