Whats the weight on the black calf? This may be mean, but that one is nothing more than county fair type calf at best.

Red is better than the black.  The red has some style, the black is lacking power.

That's not the only thing that calf is lacking.

the black calf is angus and probably only weighs 500=600 lbs she was supposed to be weaned about now but she was weaned early in the spring :( and the red calf is 1 1/2 months old and probably 250-300lbs born at 105 lbs the black heifer isn't really a show hiefer she is going to be more a cow she isn't anything special

She'll make a good brood cow! Get her bred to a good bull, and she'll produce some impressive calves!

I love using the show chow! That has happened to me before too. It adds the extra fill and growth that they need! Nice red whiteface calf by the way!

The black heifer has a lot of potential as a breeding prospect. The red calf has some structure problems. He looks like a nice calf other then being toed out on his front and a little bowed legged off his rear wheels.

the darker pic is probably the one you are looking at and she was born not to long before that pic was taken she was still learning how to walk and her front legs are straightening out and her back legs are normal now she runs around plays and when she stands still you can see all her muscle lines
