I just got back from the state junior simmental/simbrah show and the official photographer said that they are making a promotional video with pictures taken throughout the weekend. There will be music included in the video and their logo will be on the video.

My question is...are there any copyright issues with using music on the video? It is being given to us for free and is for use of a non-profit youth organization on facebook.

Thanks!

By the letter of the law, yes it is illegal to use copyrighted music without permission of the copyright holder, but realistically as long as someone is not profiting or mass producing from the video I don't think there is too much of an issue.
