It must be me again. Can you tell me how to get these videos to play. I've tried a few different times to play them, but am apparently struggling with my low technical abilities. Thanks in advance.

I just clicked on the link I provided. Then click on what Part you want then a box should come up below that and you may have to click on the play tab in the middle of that. Its on the Simmental web site in the eseminars somewhere.

Thanks FB but after I click the link & the site comes in and I hit the part that I would like to watch, it comes up with the box but there is no place to hit the video to make it play. Cab

Thanks FSR. It did help a little. I did get to watch one part of the series. Hope that I can figure out how to get to the other 3. Very informative videos.

Sections 3 and 4 were very helpful. I had two calves in the past few years that had their heads turned side ways. Both ended up as C-sections. I probably could have repositioned the one at least had I seen his technique with the rope in around the ears and in the mouth. I worked forever to reposition that calf.
thanks Frosty!

No Problemo  ;)
There is another video that was part of the on-line class shown the week before - more like a lecture with Power Point but some great information. It is at the same link, part of series one, I think. Worth the time to check it out IMO  ;D

The bit, in Part 2, about manually dilating the cervix, is VERY important.  I can assure you that if you take the additional 2-5-10 minutes to do that, you'll have an easier delivery, with less stress and damage to both the cow and calf.  Don't be in such a hurry to get that calf out that you don't put in the work to get things dilated.
It's perhaps one of the most helpful and useful tips I've learned since I got out of veterinary school - see, an old dog can learn new tricks.
