You need to kill it with iodine or something first. And then try to grow hair back. I use MTG after a kill it. You can get it from tractor supply

You do not need to scrub it. That just takes longer to heal. Just make some bacon and after the grease cools apply with a gloved hand. Cheap, yummy and it works. I have had it work after only a couple times applying it.

buy ringworm or anitfungal medicine at walmart and see if it works.  should help and if it doesn't go to the plant store and get a plant fugicide called captan.  Make a paste out of it and smear it on.  works really well and that came from a sheep guy who forgot more about showing lambs than I ever know.

Go to your local John Deere dealer and get a can of Fluid Film. Spray it on the ringworm for a few days and you will notice the hair coming back in a few days. Fluid Film is as good a treatment as I have found.

Sullivan's Fungus Fighter also works well, but you have to put it on more often. Two years ago, I found I had got ringworm on my arm. The stuff the Doctor gave me didn't seem to be working so I soaked some gauze in Fungus Fighter and taped it over the ringworm. In two days I knew it was dead and it started to heal then. That is the fourth time I have had ringworm in my life. Why is it that cattle never get it again after they have had it once... yet people seem to get it more often?

I tried rubbing the spot raw then putting coka-cola on it then put some lamasil on it and it seemed to work pretty well, havent really understood how coke is safe for humans to drink with all the uses for it but i have also heard once you get rid of it when you wash use mane and tail MEDICATED soap and it will stay way for good, but it has to be the medicated stuff.

Will second the fluid film...it does grow the hair back pretty quick. We have always killed the ringworm first with something else, usually bleach and then used the FF to grow hair back.

We have had good luck with  Dr. Naylor's Blu Kote ( aerosol ), usually takes two to three treatments. We order it from Jeffers Livestock ( Equine Section ). Once you have killed it use MTG to help grow hair back.

I've tried the bacon grease...I think it would work, but between my corgis and the other heifers licking it off and liking the taste, it seemed like I was applying it constantly lol.  Silly dogs keep lying with the heifer licking her its hilarious

we like to scrape it until it bleeds and the thick scab is off of it and then spray bleach on it. then coat it with blue coat. and over and over everyday. it will start growing hair back in about a week!

Wow, I never imagined there would be so many treatments for a fungus!

It IS a fungus, so a fungicide works like magic. I use Koppertox...same stuff that treats foot rot. It works.

Use Vetericyn... you can get it at any farm store.  It kills fungus, bacteria and virus in 30 sec.  The strongest of them all and the best one to use on ring worm, is Naval and Umbilical gel.  Scrap the ring worm and the apply vetericyn 3 times a day if possible.  It will also help with hair regrowth.... I sell animal health products and this has been the best product that has come out in over 10 years.  It will work on anything cuts , burn scraps etc.  warts are hard to get rid of because it is an internal virus but pull off wart and then spray it one.  i always say it will cure whats wrong with ya... lol  try it.

What IS that stuff?... It is actually pretty amazing. Definitely the best all-purpose put-it-on-anything-cures-everything stuff I've ever used!
