What do you think of SAV Mustang calves?
Can you tell me anything about them?  Thanks.

Very limited experience, but I will share it.

We have 1 Mustang heifer out of a former state fair champion show heifer.  Calf is good boned, sound, broody, very quiet disposition.  I like her, I just might make her a little prettier.  She's a bred right now.

She followed her mother in many traits, though her mother is prettier.

I picked up a mustang heifer this evening.  Very very docile, truly impressed with her docility after unloading.

I had a calf out of Mustang and showed him in 2012, he was out a Bismarck cow. He turned out alright and was docile, extremely thick with good bone. Nothing wrong as a calf, he turned out to be a small bull though. We used to joke that he could pass as lowline. If he would have grown a foot more he'd have been a kick-ass bull! I attached a pic of him as a calf at a Jr Angus show.
