hammer it to him and have feed available all night, creep feeder style. I'd also cut out excess hay. Appetite Express does work too.

Wouldn't suggest free choicing him or cutting out all hay if its because of bloating. Get him going back on feed and make sure he's getting some long steemed grass hay. Give him some baking soda, or granule tide laundry detergent in his feed every day to prevent bloating. Feed him 4 times a day with the largest portion in the evening time. Keep him cool by rinsing, and keeping him under fans and in the shade. Make sure you excersise him some to keep his appeitite going.

Alright so I am feeding purina finishing touch 21 pounds a day trying to get to 24.  Feeding 3 times a day 7 lbs a time.  Feeding the supplemnets show bloom power fuel and appetite express.  Is that gonna go some good things for me and can I gain some serious weight?

Depending on how your steer is designed, you may want to consider an implant.

You might want to check out Glu coat for some fat cover.( http://www.sullivansupply.com/Iowa/detail.aspx?ID=14069) Also, you need to feed about 6-7 pounds of feed per pound of gain so your steer should gain about 3 pounds a day right now. I would consider getting him implanted with Revolar S for some more boost. I have also heard keeping a salt block out with help produce more saliva which makes more B12 and a better appetite. I don't think you need Showbloom and powerfuel together and would cut back one of them.

Start him on optaflexx asap.  I have fed 60 days and seen bigger difference in gain.  Watch its cover though.  Might supplement added energy to compensate.  All other ideas are great also.

Never have done it before but what about cooking grain (corn)?? I am guessing it may not do much for the hair coat though.

If you choose to go with an implant I would warn you to be sure your calf is 100% sound. Any structural issues will become ten fold not.

Revalor S is the best implant money can buy and you should definitely get you hands on some. Were you get into big problems is that people think they can buy the cheap ralgrows or whatever and give them double to make up for the quality. That makes serious problems, but a single dose of revalor s would do you good. Had a steer gain 5.3 pounds a day for 148 day feeding period. Had no hair left at the end because he was on such a hot diet, but was an amazing steer and set the record for our county fair.
