what is your exercise program like.
We use a treadmill.

Every other day 10min slow, then 1.3 min fast forward, then 1.3 fast backward, then a ten min cool down.

We only show at our county fairs and are normally at the top of the classes.
We keep ours in a pen that is 5 by 15 approx..

We let them out every night for about 45 min and some mornings,  they usually run themselves for a while then graze a bit then run some more, then we put them in and feed.  They are always well conditioned, I think a lot of it has to do with what the animal is like when you start out.  Some times we will put "jumps " up for them to jump over.

We showed lambs when we lived in CA and were very successful (I am an AG teacher and all show stock was kept on my school farm). Our routine included 30 minutes of lunging in a circle at a trot(like a horse) then some serious backing up a hill to build muscle.  To get them to brace hard, we would back them into a fence so they learned to tense up in anticipation of the wall. All.of the fairs there were terminal, so we pushed to 160 pounds if they could handle the weight and kept them firm. My students were always in the top and we usually came home with champion or reserve.
Hope that helps...
