What pb simmy bull would all you simmy breeders advise me to breed to this half blood hfr? She is out of Total Recall x her momma is a pb simmy out of a dream on son named undreamabull. Ideally, the bull could add a touch of frame and a touch of thickness (mainly in the top). Im thinking of Fat Butt, Hoc Broker, and Make It Rain? Any other suggestions welcomed. thanks!!

Maybe look for a 1/2 blood Meyer 734 son. Possibly Aftershock or RSVP. Add a shot of 734 while keeping the calves 1/2 blood.

If she is a ground sow, real deep, maybe Chopper. We have a couple we just bred but still thought they would be deeper. That could get your shot of Meyer in there.

I have chopper in the tank. Just thought he may be to small framed. I've heard he's a smaller bull. I do like his offspring though. are any of you familiar with how much power Make It Rain has? I think his style on top of hers could be great if he has enough power.

I'm going to vote Combustable, Uno Mas (simmy bull) or my favorite on heifers, Grandmaster to get away from Dream on influence.

From an earlier post: WLE Uno Mas X549 - was Reserve Champion Simmental Bull at the recent N.A.I.L.E.  70lb. BW and 755 lb. WW.  Available through Select Sires.  Looks as good on paper as in the ring IMO.

Uno mas does appear to be powerful. Will have to consider him. This breeding will be for her 2nd calf. I can't help but love the raw power that the red chopper son "red rider" displays , although he is unproven.

We have a 3/4 blood Make It Rain fall bull that we will be taking to state fair this year. He DID NOT add muscle, but certainly deepened the cow rib and really softened up her shoulder. This cow is a half blood Macho x draft pic/angus, and would be faulted for being to "steer-y" in her design. So she has a ton of power and muscle, and MIR may be took that away, which is not a bad thing. I would highly recommend him to be used on a cow that has adequate power, but needs to be softened up a bit in the ribs, and he certainly put a nice front on the calf.
We really like our grandmaster calves, he seemed to add rib and some muscle. We like to use him a bunch. Here is a video recently forwarded to me that shows a bunch of his offspring;http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=R08R0Kyzjsk&feature=youtu.be&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DR08R0Kyzjsk%26feature%3Dyoutu.be
Combustable is one we have sampled, but no calves yet.
Have you thought about Upgrade? We really like his calves, and there are a bunch out there in the show ring. They also make fantastic dams in our experience.

What about Upgrade?  His calves have been winning a lot in my area and show just overall power, hair and confirmation.
I also have a friend who is loving his Gunslinger and Duracell calves.  I'll try to get some pics if possible.

I see it mentioned up above and I agree , shot of Meyer and half blood. Take your pick as there are many good ones to choose from. Chopper might be good !

Thanks for the responses everyone. And fire for the make it rain info. I'm surprised no one commented on hoc broker. He did win the triple crown. Are his calves not following suit as a whole? I know he's had a few really good ones.

There is not a lot of Broker out there yet. I have not seen any, but I do have some embryos in for next spring that I bought, so we shall see. I think most are waiting to see some calves out of him, since his semen is high enough no one is going to just dump a straw in a cow to see what they get.
