SIN CITY????

Ok is sin city a low birth weight bull or is he throwing them big?  I am wanting to breed a angus shorthorn x heifer to him that is very moderate frame in the hopes of getting a little more frame back and a possible blue roan.  Also is there sexed semen available on him?  Thanks

He is not a heifer bull.  Good bull, but not for use on heifers.

We had a charolais cow which we bred to sin city and ended up with a 123lbs birth weight.

Not a heifer bull.had three calfs two years ago averaged 100lbs. 

Nope.....not a heifer bull.  He himself was very low birthweight, but he won't calve easy enough for heifers as a whole.

Any reccomendations on proven low birth weight shorthorn bulls that might throw a blue calf and have sexed semen?

I wouldn't do it if I were you. We used him on two cows. One had a 100lb bull calf, the other cow had a 120lb bull calf, and prolapsed afterwards. She had to go to market after we weaned that calf. She was a Whiplash/Angus. Terrible loss!
We won't used him again. Won't take the chance.

I actually used him on 3 heifers and some cows and all the calves were from 70 to 80 pounds so I had good luck. Jakes proud jazz is one that seems to throw consist low birth weights.
