I was just wondering what type of cows Slow Burn worked well on. I am interested in breeding him to some commercial cows and retaining the heifers. They would be used to make the cows a little prettier and hopefully make some show steer moms. Any input for what Slow Burn will add to the cross would be helpful.

Talk to Joey Fambro, Breckenridge, TX
They had the best Slow Burn calves I've seen.

The bull was used very sparingly. Died young I believe. Sired very good looking cattle that were popular for a couple of years there. I remember them being very maternal looking, sound, with extra middle and softness compared to his contemporaries at the time. At the time I said they were like a showier version of a Chill Factor, now I would liken them a bit to Irish Whiskeys maybe?

Slow Burn's mother came from the Ferris herd of Oklahoma. At one time Glen and his dad had some of the better Maines in the country.
