TJ, the champion Charolais steer at Indy was bred by Wagonhammer and purchased by Rist. We have simply just been helping them with this steer throughout the year since Hoosier Beef Congress. Thanks

Until Mr. Barton, Colby, or Rick Fry calls and tells us the calf is not a Smilin Bob we are gonna stick with what Mr. Barton told us. Now if it happens to of been a mistake then we apologize, but it is possible that we might not of been the ones who were mistakenly told the wrong sire. But if they do call us and tell us they told us the wrong sire then we will fix the mistake ourselves on our blog and steer planet and give the credit where it's rightfully due.

I spoke with Chris and Mr. Goodson yesterday afternoon and both said their steers were Heatwave.  Barton said Heatwave Irish Whiskey as stated above.  I didn't take the time to call Colby but I will see him next month and see if he remembers the steer Chris has.  I'm not saying that you are being dishonest in anyway Mr. Skinner.  Who really knows, there are a lot of calves promoted and sold as Heatwaves that may be from another bull.

On a different subject, I love the Smiling Bob calves that I have seen.  Really wanted a SB heifer this past year but couldn't get the owner to let her go.  On second thought, I saw several SB steers that I wanted but couldn't get either.  Congrats on the bull and I'm certain I will be useing him in the future.

Question to Skinners, is Smilin Bob still being collected? I had heard that he was hurt and possibly would not ever be collected again. Rumor or fact?

Smilin Bob is not being collected he still is hurt to answer your question we tried all we could to get him better but does not look good so far. We don't want this issue about who sired the calf to get out of control or make anyone mad, just promoting the calf as a Smilin Bob like we were informed.
