I believe you 100%.  I do want you to know that nothing that I posted was ever aimed in your direction or your nice looking bull.  I don't know what or who or why... I just found it interesting.  And you are right... that is what this site is for.   Or at least that is what everyone else is using this site for.  ;)

Enough said on who said what, who insulted whom, who's on first, what's on second & whys on third.
I enjoy everybodys posts here. We all self promote. It's just part of who we are!

Don't make me UPS Killer Kitty to you w/ a bucket of used kitty littler! SD will tell you it's a mess to clean up!

I saw smoke bomb in mid october at the Fred Ranch. A couple buddies and I head to iowa and nebraska every october and we dropped off 4 head at Fred's from Indiana. I was very impressed with him in person. Definitely thought he would work in alot of situations, for steers or heifers. I liked his size too, he wasn't a little suitcase on 4 legs. Really functional, deep, a was as thick as you'd ever need one to be. We were on a time schedule and had to get back to Ohlrichs sale, so we were only able to walk thru the spring calves he had already sold, and the pen Smoke Bomb was in, but i was very impressed with Fred's cattle. I will say this tho, coming from Indiana, their place is a little ways off the old beaten path, lol! we found it tho.

LOL, I thought Rose,Ne was a very easy place to get to?  You're right, it's an adventure of a  drive if you've never been out there.  It willl be interesting to see if that bull turns out to be calving ease?

I just wanted to apologize for any hard feelings my initial question about Smoke Bomb may have caused. I was at the NCC showing calves in the Jr show and had seen this bull in the stalls and was very impressed. I wasn't able to see him sell, but did see a someone leading him from the Fred Ranch stalls but was too far away to see who it was. I did find out a couple days later who bought the bull and ended up talking to them in depth about the bull and their program. Very nice people.

Sorry for any problems my inquiring mind may have caused.  You are all great people to learn from!

No Problem, keep on posting!  I'll have to ask Jamie, but did the new owners say are they planning on collecting him soon?
