Sorry to hear about the tragedies you all have been through. I serve on our local school board and am pretty close to the kids. School Systems need a lot of prayer period. There is just so much out there these days..... so much peer pressure, etc. I hope they replaced your Superintendent and the coach with  good moral people. Positive leadership at the top trickles down throughout the school and everyone benefits. I'll keep you all in my prayers.

please remember my family and me. first thing tuesday morning i will have surgery intended to repair my hip that i injured last september and has kept me all but bed ridden since. first surgery that i have ever had; as you might expect, i am considerably anxious and my family's future is significantly dependent upon the outcome.

no, I've been worrying about him too.
I know he's been in terrible pain for a while. He's way too young to having hip replacement surgery but when you abuse yourself, I guess that's what happens.
I'll see if I can find anything out.

He said surgery went well, was a little more than what they thought & will have a long road to recovery.

thank you all for remembering us. the procedure went well but had to be significantly more extensive than expected. the femural head could not be reshaped as much as needed and the main tendon that holds my leg onto my hip had to be cut. this all sounds worse than it is; atleast that is the surgeon's story. he says that in 4 - 6 months i could be as good as new; that's promising eh. P.S. crutches, CPM machines and chryo-machines SUCK.

put in your thoughts & prayer something for our resident preacher Joe Boy. He copied me in on an e-mail where he may have picked up some kind of virus from crawling under a building that had a bad infestation of rats/mice. It is called hantavirus pulmonary syndrome & comes from rat/mice droppings & urine. sounds like he's been pretty sick for a couple of weeks.
I know Joe has had a really rough couple of months w/ hand surgery, his wife being very ill earlier.
Please put him in your thoughts & prayers.
His e-mail adress is [email protected]

he will be in our prayers. it's a really really bad stuff, he is really lucky to be alive. We had a bad outbreak of it on the reservation about 10 years ago it killed just about everybody that got it. if you guys are going to into a place with mice wet it down with bleach and water before you clean, also a mask.

Oh no!  Poor Joe has had so much go wrong in the past few months, and now this, and hantavirus is ugly.  I sure hope he is ok.

Carrie's middle daughter,Mickayla is at UW Madison, been there for a week wednesday.[hospital].She has pancreatic diabetes and she got dehydrated last week with this ungodly humidity. Her kidneys won't operate on their own. They have her on dialysis. The docters think it was because she was dehydrated and are optimistic she will be ok.
from John, Okla

please put the whole family in your thoughts & prayers.

Red, Thanks for the e-mail from John and I hate to hear this about his fiance/wife's daughter. I'll keep her in my prayers.

Finally, I got this from Joe boy.

Just a note to let you know how we are doing.

I have gotten over the illness that I have had but it was difficult.  I had like a sinus infection which became like whooping cough when I was a kid, and a stomack virus all at once.  The somack virus thing took a long time to overcome and am still having occassional episodes.  I feel really good compared to how I have felt for the last month.  Thanks for your concerns.  I got a call from one of my elder friends in Kansas asking me if I had died.  The medicine has really done well that I got from the doctor.

Our Internet service line was cut and it took about a week to repair and we have been to two family reunions and enjoyed both.

I prayed that "Dean" would not be a major problem to people and for a category 5 it was as mild as they get.

Now we need to pray for those flooded in the mid-west, from Oklahoma to Illinois..... they have been hit hard and with lots of heat following....

May the Lord speed their recovery and give them strength.
