I will keep them in my prayers. This year has been one of the most extreme years I've ever seen. We've had a 90 day drought, a month's worth of 100 degree days, and now it's getting wet. The rain is great for the cotton, peanuts, hay, and tobacco but, it doesn't help the corn harvest much. :-\

Please say a special prayer for "Justme" & her family. Her husband is in the hospital w/ a blood clot. He was kicked in the leg by a heifer last week & his leg became swollen. They have 2 young children.
I'm sure she needs all your thoughts & prayers right now.

Gidget called yesterday. Her hubby is still in the hospital. They are trying to get the clot dissolved. It was one big clot that traveled from his ankle. Doesn't look like there was any leg damage done.

Please keep them in your thoughts & prayers. She really has a lot on her plate w/ doing the chores & taking care of the kids.

I have three cousins in Iraq and Afghanistan.  My son is in Iraq and it is not enjoyable the second time around.  They are guarding the many national prisoners and they carry no weapons and their main rule is:  "Do not get on ESPN."  The first day the prisoners set the guard house on fire....  Thanks for remembering our men and women in the service, but do not forget to pray for their families left behind.  They face a tough time every day.  My son has to teenage boys and two daughters, one only 6 months old.  She is not crawling and he did not get to see that.  When he came home from training prior to going to Iraq, she did not want him to hold her.....she did not remember him.... it is tough for them...

I forgot to say that my grandson got his collarbone broken last Friday in football while his Dad is in Iraq......

The company my son works for is VIP and they installed instant message for my daughter-in-law, which is a "NO_NO" just so she can talk to my son if he can get to a computer or special phone..... that is a wonderful gesture....

This may seem sorda different..but...seeing as how it's pretty important to me.... This morning..my 4 simmental show heifers simply disapearred...they were in a pasture with my horses and the horses were right by the pasture but the cows are simply gona... No one has seen them. Their not with any of the 4 herds bordering my pasture and they aren't in any of the woods. We've had problems with people taking the electric fence down and letting them out before and with people stealing feed but never would I have thought it would come down to someone taking my show calves.  :( Anyway..it's been a pretty depressing day to say the least..

Oh no Linz! I'm so sorry. I think both Joe boy & Gypsy can relate to that w/ you. I hope you find them quickly. Will certainly be thinking of you. I firmly believe that God listens to all our prayers even the ones about our animals & pets. Many times I have asked him to watch over a cow or calf. I also believe that when we go to heaven, there will be a special place for our beloved animals. Well, maybe not for King Killer Kitty, he will probably go to the other place.

I sure hope you can find your heifers.

I walked a bad pasture on Saturday in which I felt my bull was, to no avail.  I sent letters (faxes) to all the close sale barns.  I hope you can do that without waiting.  I let over two weeks go by thinking he might be at the neighbors.

About 10 years ago my uncle at Weatherford, OK had an entire herd stolen.  Half were found in eastern Oklahoma about a year later and the other half were found in Arkansas in such poor shape there were sold as is three years later.  A few people went to jail and some restitution was made but his loss was so bad that he has not had cattle since.

Best wishes for a successful end....and our prayers in your behalf.

I am so sorry LinZ.  I will be hoping and praying with you that they turn up, sometimes (often) these little critters can find a way out of a pasture that a horse won't bother with.  I hope that was the case here.  BUT, take Joe Boy's advice.  Call any and everyone that could possibly be a help in finding them.  Brand Inspectors if your state has them, Sheriff, police, sale barns, newspaper if you are a small community might be good, state  ag extention office.  Anyone and everyone.  Now, don't wait.  I lost 15 (some e.t.) calves this spring.  I'm still really, really mad about it.  Probably has saved someones life that I don't know for "sure" who did it (well, not really, but I am really cranky about it).  Call everyone you can think of.  Good luck.

I just figured you guys would want to know that LinZ found her calves a couple days back.  I'm sure she appreciates all the kindness and words of encouragement.  I just posted this because she will be really really busy in the next couple weeks.  Thanks (clapping)

There is a young soldier who was wounded in Iraq  His family live at Ft. Bliss in El Paso.  On their way to see him at Brooke Army Medical Hospital in San Antonio the car was caught in high winds and the lady over corrected and the car rolled.  Two children died at the scene ages 2 and 5.  A 9 year old is on life support and very critical in Dallas at the Children's Medical Center.  Please remember John Austin Johnson and his family.

Joe- we will certainly put them in our prayers.
Also- Justme or Gidget's grandmother is needing some prayers right now. Can you please add her & the family.
Also, I had a CAT scan done Monday & am waiting for the results. Can you add old Red to your list?

Thanks,
Red
