I synced a few cows about 2 weeks ago and when I pulled the cidrs I put them in a zip lock baggie but started working on something else and forgot to wash them off in case I wanted to re use them. My question is is it too late to wash them off for re use or not.  We never re used them before but I have read the replies about people re using them with a lot of success.  So since they have been in the baggie for the 2 weeks would it be ok to wash and re use or not.  Thanks for advice in advance.

Lucky_P, I always thought the progesterone was in a dehydrated gel form and in those grooves on either side of the CIDR! Am I understanding correctly that it is in fact impregnated into the plastic of the CIDR?
I have always thrown them away as I thought the progesterone would wash off, and figured that wasting a dose of semen, usually more expensive than a CIDR unless collected from your own bull, by being a scrooge on the cost of the CIDR, was economically stupid!
