I was very impressed by the group of calves they put together for that sale. I have not looked up the final numbers yet, but I am very interested in seeing them.

How can anyone pay $14,000 for a month and a half old calf?  Bad enough paying these prices for yearling heifers that haven't calved yet, but a month and a half?

Every place you went there were a few really nice calves.  My favortie by far was the black and white Heat Wave calf at Conn's.  As of around 10:00 last night he was at $15,000 and still being bid off.  We tried to buy him but when the big boys want one they are hard to outbid.  We bought some very nice calves this year and hope they turn out as we expect.

I think a lot of ther Breeders were a little hesitant to try the online sale this year because it was something new and different.  After seeing the results of the sale I am sure some will be more willing to try it next year.  We only got one off the online sale and the rest we bought the old fashion way.
