What are the Good and Bad of Star Power, what type of female does he match up with best? Considering using him on a full flush cow this evening and may more but was wondering what some of you thought!

The Simmental bull Star Power? What ruined that one is Genex promoted him as a calving ease sire and it didn't work out so well. I had 4-5 bred to him at the time and it worked out. Got a cow down the road here and only thing I don't like about her is her attitude and she has plenty of frame which is good and bad. Throws hairy big framed calves out of commercial bulls that always grow and show decent.

I'm using a son of him out of a Northern Improvement x Strictly Business cow.

yeah the Simmental Star Power bull, Ive had 10 straws and thought about using him on the full flush cow tonight that need a bull that will put some more guts in the calf. Thought about going the simmental route with this one other than clubby but if go clubby may for with Monoply Money

I've seen a bunch of great females out of him over the years along w a handful that I wouldn't own ! He adds frame and power. Soft made deeper cows seem to be the ticket with him. Puts a big foot on his bull calves I've noticed also.

I bred him to a few deep powerful angus and his bull calves were the first ones to sale.  They had good hair and were the fastest growers we had.

I see a few of you saying he works well with deeper made females, so he wont add any guts to his calves?

Aka don't breed him to Full Flush in my opinion.

Sold a Walks Alone steer out of a Star Power cow for 4,250 this past fall.  Good bull that is not calving ease as previously pointed out.
