Steer not eating
« on: March 16, 2011, 02:59:34 PM »
About last week I noticed my steer isnt eating like he normally does. I feed hiim at 8am and 7pm come evening feeding there is only about half of it gone. He isnt sick, he just seems not wanting to eat. However in the morning for the next day feeding his dish is licked clean? Any ideas or suggestions why he is acting this way? ???

My guess is thats its spring time at your house too.  Our cattle usaully decrease on feed when it first starts to warm up, eat good at night when its cool though.  Guessing this is your problem, thats why we like to push our cattle early, and try to coast them through the summer
