Anyone know of any Hereford bulls out there that have been throwing stouter calves or moderating frame? I have a tall, big, deep cow that I would like a shoter stouter calf out of. I have Womanizer, Currency and Bogart, how are any of those for frame/stoutness? Thanks!

A bull that does those things with consistency and consistently on those type of cows is H KH DD Excel 0091 ET.  Able Acres and Ted Hunt own the bull and he stamps his progeny with thickness, bone, long necked, good fronted, and a square hip.

Thanks for the info! Where could I find some progeny pictures? Do the owners have some?

The heifer sold for $10,000 in their sale and the bull sold for $5,500.  I have an August born heifer out of him that is stout, square, and thick with a lot of bone.  The bulls picture is on the sires page.
Thanks. They look pretty good! I will definnately consider him. Have you seen any calves out of Purple Womanizer, Purple Currency or STAR OBF Bogart?

Currency has had some pretty good steers and from what I remember Bogart was a female maker. Hard drive is one that really puts power to one.  I also had some pretty good luck with Cyrus. I used him on a pretty cow that was fault free and he put some power in the calf.

I used Hard Drive on this cow a few years back and the calf was just tall. I wasn't impressed. So Currency would make them a little stouter?

I have never used him myself so I don't know what kind of cows he works best on. I have seen some good steers out of him.

Currency will work in a number of situations.  I've seen a lot of good ones out of him, male & female.  If you're looking for a pure steer make, I'd look at Crossfire.  I've only seen a few but they're stout.

Our neighbor absolutely BLEW me away when he showed me his crop of calves out of
Boyd Worldwide 9050 ET

Thick, square, impressive.  Will be using him this year to make some baldy cows.

So Currency would be better than Womainzer? I am just looking for a calf that would be stouter and I'm not looking for a particular gender. Just an impressive cow/calf pair for some shows.

I really like the looks out of this bull. Do you have any pictures of the calves?

If you are looking for outcross genetics from an up and coming sire, BARE MR YOU TUBE 4Y may be an option. He is a polled yearling bull that I bred and raised and he was recenlty the high seller at the National Hereford Sale at Canadian Western Agribition. At Agribition You Tube was one of the smallest framed Polled Hereford yearlings, but many people mentioned that he had more top and a thicker hind quarter than majority of the other bulls. We are very excited for his first calves to be hitting the ground this spring, as we expect his calves to be extremely thick and stout, while still having that showy look to them. You Tube is moderate framed, and I expect him to downsize the females he is used on. We will be collecting him in January and selling semen in the US for $50/straw. You Tube was named National Polled Hereford Reserve Champion Senior Yearling Bull at the World Hereford Conference in July. For more pictures, a video of him at Agribition, and pictures of his dam, check out my facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/pages/Barefoot-Polled-Herefords/130977730337906?ref=hl

Below is a picture of You Tube in September, and a stall picture taken in November at Agribition.
