My wife just finished our sale catalog and it is now on our website www.horseshoecreekfarms.com. It should also be on uluru's website www.ulurushorthorns.com and McBeth's website www.mcbethshorthorns.com right away as well. Catalogs will be mailed early next week so if anyone wants to get one, PM me.

PS I am on my way to Chicago tonight for Waukaru's sale and I just checked the sale catalog from my hotel. I hope the pictures look better on your computer than they do on this one!

On New Year's Day I was touring Saskatchewan herds with Carla Wiese-Smith from Australia and when we got to JIT's he gave us a tour and Lots 3A and 3B were brand new babies in the barn. One of the recip mothers was not happy with the audience! I love how Lot 3A turned out.

Thanks! The weather was not our friend as we were supposed to have Professional pictures taken. After 3 weeks of steady rain, and several cancellations I had to start to take pictures myself, as the photographer could only come here after we wanted to have the catalog printed. I think we have a pretty solid set on offer in this sale.

Hey JIT,

Tell Chris she did a great job on your catalogue.  I  received mine today and it looks like you folks have a real deep lineup!!  There's several females on the sale that would look darn good walking around my pasture!!  It makes this Iowegian wish I could make it up there.

Good luck to the McBeth's, the Alexanders, and Mr. Riviere on your first fall female sale!!  I'm sure you'll do very well!!

Just going through your catalogue online now and all I can say is WOW!! I LOVE how that lot 3A heifer has turned out... how do you think she'd go swimming to Oz?!  ;D

ETA: PS- I reckon 3B would be pretty special too if she was stood up and fancified as well!!

TDUnder - we really got caught with the pictures of 3A, 3B and lot 38. I had taken all our show cattle down to Estevan to our fitter's, and planned to get pictures taken there. With 3 weeks of near steady rain and pens full of mud, we were not able to get pictures of these heifers that come close to showing their quality. It was raining pretty hard when the pics of 3B and 38 were taken. We finally decided we had to get the catalog printed, and as we predicted, as soon as it was done, it quit raining. Oh well, it is what it is!

As far as getting her to Oz, the easiest way would be to leave her here and ship a tank full of embryos down there. I think you would like all three of the Sparkle heifers now.

Will there be a sydicate on lot 3a and how may we participate?

I am liking the sounds of this syndicate!!!

JIT- do you have some costs on shipping embryos to Oz?

We have always sent embryos to Oz with shipments of semen or other embryos, and it has kept the costs very reasonable. There are usually one or two shipments each month from Alta Genetics or Semex to Holbrook Breeders or some other Aussie studs. I am not exactly sure of the costs, other than I know that the buyers in Oz have been quite happy with them so far. When I purchased the Canadian rights in Sprys True Blue Y033, I also got lucky as Holbrook had an empty shipper tank that was being returned to Alta Genetics. The semen was shipped here with the total costs being under .50 per straw, with most of the costs being at the Canadian end of the trip . I can check this out more if you wish, or you could give Holbrook a call and they can probably give you more info. I am not sure what the costs will be at your end such as Federal vet, customs etc.  I expect your country is no different that ours, in that there has to be a good bit of government red tape involved.

JIT will Lot 46 be the first Pioneer by Elsie cross or do you have some on the ground already? I guess they are 3/4 sibs to the 3a and 3b lot.

This will be the first ones offered in Canada. We flushed Elsie's Jade to Pioneer once before and the embryos all sold to Scotland, so there could be some over there. Stumpy from Kansas, also flushed J-Lo 3T to Pioneer, this summer and I am not sure if he has implanted any yet.
