Thanks balckdiamond. I only have 2 registered cows that I was thinking of breeding him to. Both pretty heavy trump bred a 5yr old Radio Active X Dixie Chick and a 3yr old Sull Brother Joe X (Navajo X Dixie Chick). They are both good size cows so it sounds like i probably wouldnt have to much to worry about. I guess I  may not wanna use him on the 3 yr old quite yet. We will see how this 2nd calf of hers looks.

I was unaware of Radio Active, or Dixie Chic having Trump in them.  I'm certain Navajo doesn't have him either...

Dixie Chick-*sx3997265 Same sire as Trump.
Sull Brother Joe is a Vegas son. or Trump grandson.

Bob Duis has 2 full brothers to Talladega  born in 2012.  Pretty darn good.   I believe he told me that they may be going to Wingardner's to get ready to sell.

If interested in a good bull call Bob.

I talked to Bob and a few others about those bull calve full sibs...I couldn't come up with the money to get them bought at the time and I thought they would be long gone by now.  It sounded like they were pretty darn good bulls for the show ring thing.  I don't think anybody would suggest Talladega as a calving ease type deal, but for what he is inteaded for I think the workd of him, possibly the most impressive bull in the breed to me in terms of mass, shape, body and flexability all in one.  How can they look that powerful and maintain that soundness.

Not to continue to argue, but did you read what I wrote?  I said, RA, DC or Navajo don't have Trump in them.. Obviously, I knew a SULL bull had trump in it, but only one of the cows had him in her...

One shot of TRUMPS sire, is by no means, and I quote 'pretty heavy trump'...

speaking of Cunia Dividend.. anyone know of any other sons he made? Why isn't he more widespread?  Surely he made more than one breeding bull son? ???

He made some others that were moderately popular in the early 90's.  Trump wasn't "discovered" as a dominant breeding sire until around 97/98, and Dividend wasn't exactly a spring chicken when Trump was born, so not many more son's were promoted and none of them could match Trump calf for calf.

You don't think Trumps sire contributed to his calving ability??? I think the concern was the bloodlines from the poster. Looks like she has Trump blood/ancestry on both females.  NOt an argument pretty simple. Either way some of those genetics carry birthweight. I am not sure I would stack them up.But I am not a gambler.Radio Active -2.3 CE ?

Are we talking about NAVAHO*x4028247 ? Son of Double Stuff?

Grandpa used a bull for a while called Spectrum that was a CD.  Made some real good cows...some were a bit bigger framed than what I would call ideal, but that may have had somthing to do with grandpas cow herd.  There weren't too many moderate framed cows running around out in his pastures.  The spectrum bull wasn't the best footed bull in the world, but he made them real easy fleshing.  My wife and I kept a few females out of the old bull and they always made us good money.  We did just breed them shorty clubby and sold to the local 4-H kids, topped some local sales, nothing to write home about.  I think if we had bred them to better bulls we could have got a better product, but at the time it was an easy way to make money on them.

CF Rockefeller was supposed to be "the one" as I vaguely recall.  JA Cash was pretty successful too.  Trump Two was a full sib that I think sired some good heifers.  I thought most of his better calves were females, but I could be mistaken.  I was just a little kid when Dividend was popular.

Ever think back and kick yourself for not doing something that you knew at the time you should do? $2,200 more and we would own one of those 2012 bulls. We have the full sib heifer to them but we decided not to double up and get a bull. Stupid.

That's great to hear! I have already got my semen from Talladega and will be flushing to him soon.

I saw him a couple times when he was a calf and he looked good. At that time I was concerned about his shoulder, but after seeing him in Denver, that does not concern me now. Bulls with this much muscle have some shoulder and what is important is the shoulder shape and angle. In Denver, I thought he was very good in the angle of his shoulder.
